Abourriche’s specialist areas are the development of original natural resources such as Moroccan oil shale. He also worked as Project Manager entitled: Solvent Extraction of organic matter of oil shale. Study and Promotion of the oils produced. This project is funded by Hassan II Academy of Science and Technology. In 2008 he took on the role of Head of the Industrial Engineering Department at National School of Applied Sciences Safi. He is the author of over 30 publications in international journals and conference proceedings refereed and a hundred oral presentations or by posters. He is the member of scientific and organizing committees of several national and international conferences

Dr El-Mahallawi is currently the Director of the Centre for Renewable Energy at the British University in Egypt which is contributing to the teaching and education and research activities in Egypt, energy efficiency in metallic industries, as well as being incorporated in social projects aiming at implementing renewable energy resources for subserviced and ruler areas in Egypt. She has also contributed in a number of field projects in production by rolling and casting, thermo-mechanical treatment, failure analysis, manufacturing of spare parts, as well as continuous industrial education projects for engineers and workers. She is also the coordinator for one of the National Standardization committees.

Sofoklis is a tenured Assistant Professor at the Department of Environmental and Natural Resources Management, University of Patras in Greece & senior visiting fellow at Loughborough University, Uk. He was till 2013, a Lecturer in the Department of Engineering, Sports and Sciences at Bolton University and associated member in IMRI & IREET Institutes. He is a physicist while he received the MEng in 2002 and the PhD in 2004 in fields of Materials Science and Engineering (NanoMagnetic Materials). His Postdoc research has been accomplished on Materials for Hydrogen Storage by having a fellowship from the State Scholarships Foundation while he holds an MBA in spin-offs. The last decade gives lectures more than ten hours per week by covering physics, materials science and technology, hydrogen technologies, energy and innovation. He serves as Editor-in-Chief at Challenges (MDPI) and at Verizona Publishing Ltd, London. He is involved in the Editorial Board of Materials (MDPI), Open Chemistry (DeGruyterOpen), of the Scientific Reports of the Nature Publishing Group, and Heliyon of Elsevier. He is a Member of the IEEE Magnetics Society and Materials Research Society. Sofoklis has collaboration with the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in California regarding Hydrogen storage and CO2 capture. He has more than 65 publications in international journals, international conference proceedings and book chapters. He has been involved in at least 12 EU/USA funded research programs, in many of which as a principal investigator or a leader. He has more than 10 invited lectures in Research Centers and Universities and 5 invited lectures in conferences overseas in the last 5 years. He chaired more than 5 international Conferences. His curriculum vitae has been cited in Marquis Who’s Who in the World (2010) and selected as one of the leading achievers from around the globe. Since 2011 he is in the Management Committee of three EU Cost actions. He is an expert collaborative partner in Materials-Energy-Environment with long consultancy in Uk, EU, USA, China companies.

Dr. Lucian Baia is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Condensed Matter Physics and Advanced Technologies at the Faculty of Physics of the “Babes-Bolyai” University (BBU) of Cluj-Napoca, Romania. He is also the Head of the Institute of Research-Development-Innovation in Applied Natural Sciences from BBU. His interdisciplinary activities bridge across research fields related to the obtaining and characterization of nanoarchitectures and materials with controllable morphology and structure for environmental and biomedical applications. Dr. Baia published more than 130 peer-reviewed papers, three books, five book chapters, 4 patent applications, has an h-index of 23, and is serving as editorial board member for several scientific journals. He was awarded the “Constantin Miculescu” Prize of the Romanian Academy (2017) as well as Prizes of BBU for Scientific Excellence (2014 and 2017), Comenius Prize (2012), and STAR Advanced Fellowships for research (2016).

N.A. Sobolev published over 140 articles in ISI journals, 3 book chapters and more than 45 papers in refereed proceedings of scientific conferences, he held numerous invited talks at international conferences. He has repeatedly held Visiting Professor and Visiting Researcher positions at universities in Germany (Berlin, Jena – thrice, Ulm – twice) and Russia (National University of Science and Technology “MISiS”, Moscow – twice). N.A.S. is one of the pioneers of ion implantation and radiation defects studies in quantum-size semiconductor structures.

Chang-Seop Lee received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Kyungpook National University, Daegu, South Korea in 1979 and 1981, respectively. He received his Ph.D. degree from Oregon State University, U.S.A., in 1991. Presently, He is a chemistry professor in Keimyung University, South Korea. He has published more than 125 research papers and 14 books, and also enrolled 37 patents in the fields of surface chemistry, electrochemistry, sensors chemistry, rubber chemistry, fiber chemistry and composite materials. He is the vice president of Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies (Daegu regional Federation).

Ik Jin Kim was born on 1959 in the province of Gapyung, South Korea. In 1985, he received his Bachelor of Science from the Department of Inorganic Materials Science and Engineering at Myung Ji University, South Korea. In 1987 he obtained his Master of Science from the Department of Inorganic Materials Science and Engineering at Han Yang University, Seoul South Korea. In 1992 he earned his Dr.-Ing in Structural Ceramics from the Department of Inorganic Materials Science and Engineering at Technical University of Aachen, RWTH, Germany. His research field was Thermal Shock Resistant and Mechanical Properties of Aluminum Titanate-mullite and Powder Preparation by Sol-gel Process. From 1992-1993, he was a Lecturer in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Danguk University. He was also a Research Group Leader in the Institute of Carbon Chemistry at Seoul National University of Education, Seoul, South Korea where he acquired his experience in carbon structure and the engineering of carbon chemical process. Since March 1994, he is a Professor at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Hanseo University, Director of the Institute for Processing and Application of Inorganic Materials Science and Engineering (PAIM) and concurrently as Director of Chungnam Advanced-Fabrication Technology Innovation Center (CATIC) and at the Institute of Advanced Ceramics for Semiconductor (IACS) at BIEMT Ltd. His research interests are in advanced ceramics for high temperature application and renewable energy materials which include the synthesis of carbon nanotubes, host-guest materials, as well as the analysis and simulation of molecular level composites. He is the author and co-author of over one hundred fifty (250) journal publications and presented numerous international conference papers. He was a reviewer of four (4) Scientific Journals and has regularly refereed papers for various conferences. From 2007-2008, he was a guest Professor in a research group of Professor Ludwig Gauckler at ETH in Zurich, Switzerland. He is also a poet.
